Now, more than ever, there is an increasing need for Professional Thermographers in all industries. We'd like to speak with you about your current passion or career path and see how becoming a Thermographer will enhance your future. Both beginners and professionals always need more knowledge, and we strive to create new course content regularly.
History of the Kentucky Thermal Institute
The initial goal was to establish and develop a Thermography based service business into a profession. Over the years we realized that this technology would be embraced within every industry as a specialized trade, and we knew our work had only just begun.
Our instructors have developed very specific techniques for Thermology during their careers, even as the technology has changed. This gives you a unique experience as a student and helps you understand the hands-on techniques of Thermography. Our mission began by offering Building Science Thermology education and will now expand well beyond even Medical Thermology.
KTI has brought industry leaders together to work as a group to expand Thermology education into the University level. Our partnership with Western Kentucky University will advance Thermology research, innovation, education, and software development. This cooperation of industry leaders will allow us to provide Thermology education around the globe, while meeting the stringent requirements for university education.
Working with these leaders, we will be establishing the United States Board of Thermology (USBOT). This body will represent fields ranging from the medical profession to residential energy loss scans, help standardize education standards, develop a strong professional ethics statement, and work with other governing bodies to expand the professional use of Thermology.
Kentucky Thermal Institute's Founder and Instructors are certified and practicing Thermologist with field experience in vast areas of the Thermology profession.
Our instructors are actively practicing within veterinary medicine, building science review, industrial PM’s, roof inspections, HVAC/R inspections, and more.
