History of the Kentucky Thermal Institute

Concept
The initial goal was to establish and develop a Thermography based service business into a profession. Over the years we realized that this technology would be embraced within every industry as a specialized trade, and we knew our work had only just begun.

Development
Our instructors have developed very specific techniques for Thermology during their careers, even as the technology has changed. This gives you a unique experience as a student and helps you understand the hands-on techniques of Thermography. Our mission began by offering Building Science Thermology education and will now expand well beyond even Medical Thermology.

Cooperation
KTI has brought industry leaders together to work as a group to expand Thermology education into the University level. Our partnership with Western Kentucky University and the University of Louisville will advance Thermology research, innovation, education, and software development. This cooperation of industry leaders will allow us to provide Thermology education around the globe, while meeting the stringent requirements for university education.

Growth
The Thermography profession is poised to be one of the fastest growing professions in the US. You should understand that obtaining a Level 1 certificate is not enough to prepare you for this profession. If you want to succeed, you will need to learn a substantial amount of practical knowledge. At KTI, we can provide you with university level hands-on training you need to succeed. Start your journey and become part of the KTI team.
